In recent weeks we have experienced an almost unprecedented wave of attacks on Spanish multinationals. These attacks have caused the data of millions of users to be compromised, which has almost certainly made our data available to cybercrime.
There have been hundreds of attacks on companies of all kinds, although these have been the most prominent:
TICKETMASTER - 560 million users affected
MOVISTAR - leakage of 120,000 users' data
IBERDROLA - theft of 850,000 customers' information
BANCO SANTANDER - breach of data of 211,000 employees, and of all its customers in Spain, Chile and Uruguay
DECATHLON - Data on your committed employees
DGT - 34.5 million registered drivers (license plates, addresses, telephone numbers, personal data...)
It is quite likely that your data are among those of one of these corporations.
So what now? Let's ask ourselves a fairly simple question.
What does Cybercrime want all that data for?
The answer is also simple... to sell them at a gold price on the black market (dark web). And what do the companies, individuals and cybercriminals who buy this data use it for? Undoubtedly the main use will be to bombard us with mass attacks in the near future: Sales campaigns, fraud and cyber-attacks of all kinds.
So get ready for what we are going to face in the next months...
Are you prepared for the massive attack we are about to suffer?
